Bio

Ivy Roots is an up and coming singer/songwriter from the Midwest. From singing, writing, playing piano and to guitar, to producing beats, she continues to grow into her artistry. Her style ranges from feel good 90’s R&B/Hip Hop, to acoustic music, Neo Soul and Pop. Ivy has graced a wide variety of stages, from local community events to regional festivals and New York’s Lincoln Center. Having performed solo acoustic, with her band and collaboratively with other artists, she easily demonstrates her wide range of talent and abilities.

From covers to a recently released single, “Hypothetical,” Ivy has been featured on 38 The Spot’s “Behind the Spotlight,” at Twelve Magazine’s “D9HA” at The American Jazz Museum, at “The Situation” in Tulsa, OK, and was the official Coca Cola Promo Participant of Los Angeles BET Experience during 2015 BET Awards Weekend.

“SHE IS VERY UNIQUE, SHE HAS HER OWN STYLE, AND SHE DOESN’T FIT IN ONE CATEGORY. I CAN SEE HER GOING VERY FAR.”

“HER ALBUM DOES A GREAT JOB OF CONTRASTING THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE LIFE EXPERIENCES, AND SINCE YOU CAN’T APPRECIATE SUNSHINE WITHOUT RAIN, I CAN DEFINITELY RELATE TO A LOT OF HER MUSIC. IN A SOCIETY WHERE MUSIC IS OFTEN ROBBED OF EMOTION, I CAN DEFINITELY APPRECIATE A VOICE THAT CAN MOVE ME TO TEARS”

"Our students loved Ivy Roots! Being from Kansas City was a plus too as they often love to see and hear from someone that is from where they're from. The process for booking was smooth and informative so we had no worries there. We look forward to working with Ivy again in the future!"
